JAMMU, May 17: In the wake of second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC) J&K intensified its distribution of relief among the needy people.
The relief distribution drive was led by Ricky Dalotra, General Secretary J&K Youth Congress on the directions of Uday Chib, President J&K PYC.
Youth Congress activists distributed packed food among the needy people and attendants of COVID patients at GMC Jammu.
Dalotra urged upon the administration to work in close coordination and bring the mortality rate to its minimum.
“We can’t afford any lapse from the administration in this hour of crisis, which needs profiling of the vulnerable areas and efforts to reach out to the affected people on priority,” he said, demanding government to ensure safety and security for the people by lending all necessary and possible support to the needy people.
Uday Bhanu Chib, President J&K PYC hailed the efforts of Youth Congress activists and said that Youth Congress stands with the people during the hour of crisis.
He asked the people to take special care of vulnerable age groups like elders, children and people with existing illnesses.
Chib reiterated that there should not be a shortage of essential commodities or any service and asked the people to maintain social distance as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the virus.
Ward President Jai Pal, Youth Congress members Lalit Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Suresh Kumar were also present on the occasion.
