UDHAMPUR, May 18: A pillion rider died while the motorcyclist sustained critical injuries when their bike was hit by a Tanker at Narsoo Chenani.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Ibrahim (70), son of Shukar Din resident of Chillipain, Tehsil Gandoh District Doda, while the injured, identified as Ali Hussain (25) son of Hashim Din of Trown, Tehsil Bhalla District Doda, was admitted to District Hospital Udhampur.
The accident took place around 8.15 p.m when the Motorcycle bearing Registration number PB32AA-7135 was hit by the Tanker HR58B-8893 at Narsoo near Chenani.
Locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where the pillion rider Mohd Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries. Later, the dead body was shifted to mortuary room.
Chenani police has registered the case in this connection and arrested driver of the Tanker.
