Kidnapped minor girl recovered, accused arrested

UDHAMPUR, May 20: After 56 days, Ramnagar police has recovered the kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused youth.
The victim, a student of class 10th and resident of village Marta in Ramnagar, was allegedly kidnapped by the accused when she was on way to her school.
According to a police spokesperson, a written complaint was lodged on March 27/2021 at Police Station Ramnagar by family members of the girl stating that their 14-year old daughter had gone missing. Accordingly, a case FIR number 42/2021 Under Section 363 IPC/67/67-a IT ACT was registered at Police Station Ramnagar and investigation was started.
To solve the case, special teams of Police Station Ramnagar were constituted under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar, Dr Bhishm Dubey.
The team led by SHO Ramnagar Inspector Kulbir Singh connected various leads and after hectic efforts and with the assistance of technical aids, finally recovered the kidnapped girl from Delhi.
The Police spokesperson said the girl was recovered from the possession of accused Ravi Kumar, son of Gyan Chand, resident of Nagrota Panjgrain Udhampur, who was arrested.
After completing all the legal formalities, the girl was restored to the family and further investigation of the case is going on.
