Establish CCCs with oxygen supported beds in all PHCs: Sadhotra

JAMMU, May 20: Senior leader of National Conference and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today reiterated his demand of opening COVID Care Centres (CCCs) of 10-15 beds along with oxygen cylinders at all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in J&K.
He said decentralization of COVID patient care at Panchayat level will decrease the pressure on Government Medical College Jammu and other dedicated COVID-19 Patients Care Hospitals. This needs to be implemented in letter and spirit and in a time bound manner, he added.
Sadhotra also stressed for opening of a Patient Care and Monitoring Control room at every PHC in the UT as COVID-19 pandemic is fast spreading in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. He also emphasized the need of mass testing, tracing and required treatment.
The former Minister said that after the holy Kumbh Mela at Haridwar this pandemic has reached almost every village of Jammu and Kashmir. So, microbiological laboratories for conducting RT-PCR test at Block Level are also the need of the hour to break the chain of pandemic.
Expressing his serious concern over the COVID-19 fatalities in Jammu and Kashmir, he demanded audit of COVID-19 dead patients to ascertain the reasons of spike in death and fix responsibility. Sadhotra also demanded constitution of high level committee of senior doctors to ascertain the reasons of spike in COVID-19 patients deaths on priority.
