JAMMU, June 13: Member Legislative Council and former Chief Secretary, B.R. Kundal, today urged upon the Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, to instruct the concerned agencies for early execution of Lift Irrigation Scheme for village Jagtu Chack of tehsil R.S. Pura.
The total estimated cost of the scheme, including other civil and mechanical works is Rs. 194 lakh (Rs. 174.60 lakh AIBP 19.40 lakh state share) which envisages covering C.C.A of 132 hectares of land.
Kundal said that with the commissioning of this prestigious project, the population of Jagtu Chack and adjoining villages would get adequate water for irrigation and drinking water requirements.
