SRINAGAR, June 13: Kiran Prasad, Chairperson Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), today inaugurated a dental check-up camp at JK Police Public School, Bemina, to promote oral health awareness among students.
The camp which was organised by police in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir, was attended by atleast 400 students and teaching staff, a police handout said.
“Free oral health aids and medicine was offered to students. A health talk with the students and the teaching staff was also held in which importance of maintaining oral hygiene was also discussed,” the statement added.
The inaugural function was attended by Dr. Shabnam Ara, a member of PWWA, Syed Afadul Mujtaba, Administrative Officer, JK Police Public School, Bemina, Principal Tazim Waheedi, SP Police Headquarters, Srinagar, Ajaz Ahmad, Deputy Director Dentistry Dr. Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Dr. Rafiqa, Dr. Sameena, Dr. Afshan, Dr. Khursheed, Dr. Sameera and other paramedical staff of Directorate of Health services Kashmir.
