4 injured as vehicle plunges into gorge after hit by truck

RAMBAN, May 21: Four persons were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in plunged into gorge after hit by truck at Digdol on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a Bolera camper bearing registration number JK02CM-6708 plunged into gorge after hit by truck bearing registration number JK02AL-6689, resulting into injuries to four persons travelling in the camper.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the assistance of UTDRF, Army and QRT personnel started rescue operation.
All the four injured persons were rescued and shifted to District Hospital Ramban, from where two were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for specialised treatment.
The injured persons were identified as Adil Sharief, son of Mohammad Sharief Malik of Chanderkote, Mudassir Mohammad, son of Abdul Hamid Shan of Sangaldan, Varun Choudhary, son of Prithvi Raj of Raipur Jammu and Gourav, son of Umesh Mukhia of Jalalari Bihar.
The truck has been seized and its driver identified as Balbir Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Chatta Pind Satwari District Jammu is taken into custody.
A case under FIR Number 83/2021 under Sections 279 and 337 IPC has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
