POONCH, May 21: Police today arrested a drug peddler in Surankote area and seized a small quantity of heroin from his possession.
The accused, identified as Farhat Ali, son of Iqbal Hussain of Gursai, presently putting up at Mandi, was apprehended by a Police party of P/S Surankote, led by Inspector Jatinder Singh Sambyal during a naka at Lassana.
During search, police recovered 1.5 grams heroin from possession of the accused. FIR number 180/21, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection and investigation of the case is going on.
