MENDHAR, June 13: A young girl made suicide attempt by consuming some poisonous stuff in the town here today.
The girl identified as 22-year-old Shagufta Bi, daughter of Mir Hussain, resident of Pathana Teer who had come to the town for making some purchases with his father and other members allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff and fell unconscious. She was then rushed to SDH Mendhar where doctors provided preliminary treatment and referred her to District Hospital Rajouri. The police registered a case and started investigation. It was alleged that girl was being forced to marry a youth against her wishes by father.
