Terror hideout busted in Poonch

JAMMU, May 22: Security forces today busted a hideout of the militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Qasba village of Poonch district and seized some arms and ammunition, the third such recovery in a fortnight.

Recoveries were made by a joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG) Poonch and local Army unit from the hideout on the basis of a specific input developed by them.
The recovery includes an AK-56 assault rifle, a magazine with 30 rounds, and two Chinese pistols and a magazine.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the law in connection with the recoveries and investigations are on.
Before this, 19 hand grenades were seized from another terrorist hideout in the Phagla area of Surankote in Poonch district on May 9.
On May 18, two pistols and 11 rounds of ammunition were seized from Mahra village of Surankote.
