Bail pleas of accused in fake PRC case rejected

JAMMU, June 13: Duty Magistrate (3rd Additional Munsiff) of Jammu district, B A Munshi today rejected the bail applications of Gurmeet Singh, son of Ujjagar Singh of Simble Morh, RS Pura and Bharat Bhushan Kakar, son of Kharti Lal of Shakti Nagar, who were allegedly involved in making fake PRC and category certificates.
According to the police case, one Joginder Kumar lodged a written complaint mentioning that he came to know from some persons that Gurmeet Singh and Bharat Bushan Kakkar were getting PRC and category certificates prepared in a shortest time.
On this the complainant approached the accused persons and paid Rs 42000 for getting the PRC and category certificates of his family prepared. However, the certificates prepared by the accused persons were found to be forged.
After hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli for the State whereas Advocates Manpreet Singh Saini and Vikash Sharma for the accused, Duty Magistrate (3rd Additional Munsiff) observed, “the investigation is at initial stage and in these circumstances, the court is of the opinion that this is a fit case where bail should not be granted”, adding “the investigating agency must get some more time to collect the evidence”.
Accordingly, the court rejected the bail applications.
