Bovines smuggling bids foiled

JAMMU, May 25: Nagrota and Chinore Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by arresting 6 persons.
As per police sources, teams from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket and Police Post Chinore led by SI Avtar Krishan laid nakas in their jurisdictions and intercepted four vehicles bearing registration number JK02AN-6591, JK13A-1001, JK02AF-7028 and JK02CQ-9193.
During checking, police team rescued 38 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested six persons, who were identified as Mohammad Razaq, son of Mohammad Iqbal of District Reasi, Mohammad Mansha, son of Mohammad Yousaf of District Reasi, Kali Khan, son of Shato of Belicharana District Jammu, Arif Ahmed Khatana, son of Farooq Ahmed of District Anantnag, Sajjad Ali, son of Shamsdin of Roop Nagar District Jammu and Mohammad Mushtaq, son of late Mohammad Samunder of Raipur Bantalab District Jammu.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Stations Nagrota and Domana and investigation started.
