RAJOURI, May 25: Two persons were killed when a tractor trolley met with an accident in Doongi area near Chingus in district Rajouri last night.
Official sources said that mishap took place at around 11 pm when two persons were on way to Challas village in Doongi block of Rajouri carrying building material on tractor trolley. The driver of the tractor -trolley lost control over it and it landed into a gorge, causing serious injuries to the driver and his associate.
The locals of the area shifted both the seriously injured persons to Rajouri hospital, where they were declared as brought dead. They were later identified as driver Mohd Altaf (35), son of Mohd Ibrahim of Jatote Morha in Doongi and Khadam Hussain (42), son of Abdullah from Challas.
The police after postmortem and performing legal formalities handed over the bodies of the deceased persons to their respective families. A case has been registered in this connection at Rajouri Police Station. Further investigation was in progress.
