HC’s directive to University

JAMMU, June 14: In a petition filed by one Chandershekhar challenging the rules of Legal Education 2008 (framed by Bar Council of India) which bar the candidates from taking admission in LLB three years course if he or she has completed the age of 30 years, High Court today directed the Jammu University to allow the petitioner to pursue his study.
After hearing Advocate Meharban Singh appearing for the petitioner whereas Advocate WS Nargal for the respondents, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar allowed the petitioner to attend classes and mark his attendance and directed the University to take all steps, which will enable the petitioner to pursue his study without any hindrance till the matter is again considered.
