JAMMU, May 26: Contributing to the fight against Coronavirus, Former Minister, Incharge BJP Headquarters J&K and senior BJP leader Priya Sethi led team of Bharatiya Janata Party distributed free ration among the poor and needy people in Old City areas of Jammu.
The distribution of ration is being carried under the ‘Sewa hi Sangathan Abhiyaan’ launched earlier by the party at the national level.
Addressing the media persons after free ration distribution, Priya Sethi said that amidst the Corona Curfew to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus infection, Jammu and Kashmir BJP as part of its commitment to ensure that none sleeps hungry during the ongoing pandemic, has come forward to ensure that essential supplies remain unhindered among the masses.
She added that under its programme ‘Sewa hi Sangathan Abhiyaan’ BJP is covering multiple services which also includes providing free masks, sanitizers and other supplies distributed free of cost to the needy persons through the party leaders, workers and activists across the length and breadth of this Union Territory.
The BJP leader recalled that during the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic lakhs of party workers had been deployed on the ground to provide assistance to the people especially the old and sick people, the poor and the needy.
Meanwhile, the senior BJP leader has appealed to the people to cooperate and support the efforts of administration by strictly following the COVID-19 SOPs and precautions and stay at homes unless there is some dire urgency to come out. Very soon we shall be able to win the crucial battle against the deadly virus with people’s support, she asserted.
