RAJOURI, May 26: A mason was electrocuted while at work in Kotranka area of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that mishap took place when the mason namely, Mohd Aslam (55), son of Shamas Din, resident of Jaglanoo village in Kandi, was dismantling a wooden structure near his village. While at work, the iron road he was holding in hand, inadvertantly touched the live electric cables passing over the house and he sustained serious electric shocks.
He was critically injured in the mishap and rushed to SDH Kandi where doctors declared him as dead. The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
