JAMMU, May 26: President Beopar Mandal and District General Secretary Congress, Gurmeet Singh here today distributed ration among poor and needy people hit by Corona lockdown in Jammu east area.
Ward 3 president, Raj Kumar Sodhi; Suman Gupta, Deepu, Manohar, Amarpreet Singh, Sahil Verma, Poli and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh said that all the public representatives irrespective of political affiliations need to become frontline Corona warriors in addressing the grievances of lockdown affected people.
He lauded the working of doctors, nurses, policemen, sanitation workers and others who are working hard to combat the spread of COVID-19.
He said that people affected by lockdown should be provided ration at their doorsteps.
“Congress believes in service to mankind irrespective of caste, creed, colour religion and region and it is always in forefront to help the needy,” Gurmeet Singh maintained.
