RAJOURI, May 28: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession near Rajouri here today.
Official sources said that a police party from Rajouri during naka at Fetehpur, nabbed a youth who tried to evade frisking. During his search, 25 gms of heroin was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Tariq Mehmood, son of Mohd Kabir, resident of Neerojal. A case FIR No. 341/ 2021 was registered against him, under NDPS Act, the police said.
