JAMMU, May 28: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K UT President Rajesh Gupta on Friday demanded free ration for all Below Poverty Line (BPL) beneficiaries.
In a statement, Gupta said all the BPL families of Jammu and Kashmir should be given free ration through Public Distribution System, and the government must ensure that the ration was home-delivered.
“Covid-19 restrictions are causing terrible financial stress to poor families, who are in trauma at this very particular time. These families are unable to meet their day to day financial expenses, so it’s the good time for Government to help these families by providing free ration,” Gupta said.
