JAMMU, May 29: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and State secretary BJP J&K, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, under outreach programme visited Deeli and its adjoining areas of Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment and took stock of the various problems faced by people especially due to erratic water and power supply.
During his visit to these areas the locals raised many issues pertaining to the irregular water and power supply in the area.
While addressing the people during his visit to the area, Randhawa said that providing round the clock power supply and regular drinking water supply to the people is the top most priority of the BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. “BJP Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to its citizens including regular water and power supply”, Randhawa added.
He said that many steps have been taken to ensure round the clock power supply in Jammu region particularly during Summers and similarly many schemes are in pipeline to ensure regular drinking water supply to the people.
He said the demand of water and power increases during Summers in Jammu and appealed people at large also to make judicious use of water and power. He said that we should not waste drinking water and similarly should switch off all electronic and electrical gadgets which are not in use. “By making judicious use of water and power we can ensure adequate water and power to all”, Randhawa lamented.
He also directed the officials of the Jal Shakti and Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited to plug in all loopholes to ensure adequate water supply and round the clock power supply.
Others who accompanied Ch. Vikram Randhawa included Ajmer Singh, Mandeep Choudhary, Ashok Sharma, Ashok Manhas, Rajesh Mehra, Sanjeev Kumar etc.
