BJP Mahila Morcha holds blood donation camp

JAMMU, May 29: On the completion of seven years of  Narendra Modi Government at the Centre, Jammu and Kashmir BJP Mahila Morcha, under its president Sanjita Dogra, organized a blood donation camp at Government SMGS Hospital, Shalimar, Jammu, to contribute in meeting  the blood shortage in the second wave of COVID -19 pandemic.
It was inaugurated by Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, along with Priya Sethi, former Minister and  BJP Headquarter incharge, Yudhvir Sethi, Jammu and Kashmir BJP vice president and Incharge COVID-19, Sanjita Dogra,  president Mahila Morcha and Veenu Khanna, BJP secretary and Seh Prabhari Mahila Morcha
The hospital team of doctors, nurses and technicians, conducted thorough medical checkup of donors and selected the eligible ones to donate blood.
Kavinder Gupta, while appreciating efforts of the Mahila Morcha for organizing the camp said that donating blood is a great service to mankind and the BJP party would extend assistance to make such noble initiatives successful. He also expressed gratitude to the women activists of the Morcha, who voluntarily donated blood for needy patients on humanitarian ground, adding that it is the moral responsibility of people to come forward and extend a helping hand during the COVID crisis.
Priya Sethi said that blood donation is the noblest act of humanity and biggest life saving gift one can offer to others. She appealed to everyone to come forward and donate blood to give life to needy at this time of pandemic.
On India’s fight against COVID -19, Yudhvir Sethi, said that BJP is doing great service in serving the people of UT during the pandemic. He also appealed to the people to come forward in the noble cause of blood donation. Drops of your blood will add days to someone’s life, he added.
Sanjita Dogra complimented all the women donors and BJP Mahila Wing for organizing the camp. While motivating, she further said that a person can save three lives with one unit of blood and hence those donating blood are no less than warriors in pandemic. She added that these camps not only provide blood to the blood banks but also are a great boon for the patients who need blood infusions frequently.
Similar camps were also organised by Mahila Morcha at district levels.
