*Holds ‘Sarv Dharam Prarthana Sabha’ for Covid victims

JAMMU, May 30: In a unique gesture of solidarity with the Corona victims, their families and Covid warriors, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee today held a “ Sarv Dharam Prarthana Sabha” to offer prayers for the eternal peace of all those who died of Covid, for giving strength to their family members and the early recovery of all those suffering from covid disease besides seeking blessings for the lives of all corona warriors rendering services in different forms in the situation.
Coinciding with the celebrations by the BJP for completing seven years in office , the Congress party held the ‘Sarv Dharam Prarthana Sabha’ at its party head office Shaheedi Chowk Jammu, to offer prayers attended by selected leaders from all communities and observed silence in the memory of those who lost lives and pray for their families as well covid patients besides the corona warriors engaged in the treatment and relief of those suffering from covid.
The Sabha was attended by former minister and PCC vice president Raman Bhalla, senior leaders Balwan Singh (Ex-MLA), Yogesh Sawhney, Ravinder Sharma, S Gurdarshan Singh, Ch Rasheed, Nadeem Sharief Niaz (DDC Member), Ghulam Mohiuddin and Ritu Chaudhary- Corporators besides others.
Briefing media persons, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that the party has launched the “Sarv Dharam Prarthana Sabhas” to be held at different places in the region to share the grief and sufferings of the families of Covid victims, and to seek the blessings of the Almighty God in accordance with different faiths and religions to pray for the well being of the human race fellow citizens.
Launching a frontal attack on the BJP and the Modi Government for total mishandling of the Covid situation during phase one, especially 2nd wave leading to enormous avoidable casualties and sufferings of the citizens due to lack of required facilities and timely preparations of the Government. He lashed out at the BJP for celebrating the seven years of Modi Government when the citizens are dying for want of proper health facilities and lakhs others are suffering from the disease besides large scale black marketing of essential commodities and unprecedented price hike besides unemployment.
