JAMMU, May 31: Former senior vice-president of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Nasir Hamid Khan today appealed all business organizations, market associations and members of the business community to demonstrate utmost caution in opening up of economic activities.
He stated that complete eradication of the virus was a long battle and with many countries reeling under its 5th wave it was imperative that we display COVID appropriate behaviour in order to limit its impact on our already devastated economy. He appealed members of the business community for strict adherence to the COVID appropriate behavior like wearing of proper mask, frequent sanitization of hands, maintaining appropriate distance, avoid big gatherings and getting themselves vaccinated.
“A watertight mechanism is needed to be put in place by the organizations/associations for monitoring of activities in their respective zones of influence,” Khan said and suggested market associations to distribute free masks among those found moving out without a mask.
