KATHUA, June 2: Col Mahan Singh (retd.) DDC Chairman, Kathua today visited Budhi, Dinga Amb and Nagari Subarbs of Kathua district and inspected COVID related facilities at PHC Budhi, Denga Amb and SDH Nagari Parole being provided to COVID affected people.
The DDC Chairman interacted with BMOs and medical staff at hospitals/healthcare centres and noted their problems with regard to staff, medical equipment, ambulances etc. The local BDOs and tehsildars were present and briefed the Chairman on various issues raised by public representatives present. He also met delegations of Sarpanches, BJP senior functionaries and prominent citizens and listened to the issues patiently.
The DDC Chairman acclaimed the doctors and paramedical staff for working relentlessly in serving the COVID-19 patients least bothering about their own lives. He lauded them for providing a ray of hope to the COVID-19 victims during the ongoing pandemic amid tough working conditions and tight schedule.
Col. Mahan Singh reiterated his appeal to the people to keep patience and fully cooperate with the administration to support the measures initiated to win the battle against COVID-19 pandemic. He also reiterated the BJP’s commitment to keep overall development among its top priorities. He asserted that the BJP Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi will leave no stone unturned in addressing the problems of the people.
He assured that in the coming time development will be carried out at an unprecedented scale to address the shortcomings or gaps having evolved till date.
While expressing serious concern over the adverse impact of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic resulting in deaths, Col Mahan Singh asked the people to play proactive role in this hour of crisis by strictly following COVID-19 SOPs after wearing masks, using hand sanitizers and maintaining the requisite social distancing. Moreover, he asked them to get vaccinated against the Coronavirus, asserting that the battle against the pandemic would be won very soon.
Puneet Sharma, ADDC Kathua, Sohan Lal district Panchayat Officer, DDC Councilor, Barnoti, Sushma Devi, DDC Councilor, Rimmy Charak, DDC Councillor, Hiranagar Abhinandan Sharma, DDC Councilor Nagri Parole, Sandeep Majotra, BDC Chairman, Nagri Parole, Khazan Chand and Nagri Municipal Committee president, Anil Andotra accompanied the DDC Chairman in their respective constituencies.
Meanwhile, Col Mahan also visited Municipal Committee Office Nagari and interacted with corporators there.
