REASI, June 2: A Selection Grade Constable committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at District Police Lines Reasi, here today.
He was identified as Mumtaz Ahmed (43), son of Abdul Ghani, resident of Modha Kalar, tehsil Mendhar district Poonch. He was posted at DPL Reasi, where he consumed some poisonous substance and ended his life.
Reports said that Mumtaz Ahmed consumed poison this morning and was immediately rushed to District Hospital Reasi where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
