Alakh Sahiba Trust declares new body

JAMMU, June 4: Results of the highly contested election for the posts of president, general secretary and Executive members of Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust have been declared by the Election Authority namely Er B.L.Rawal and Dr. Dileep Pandita.
Terming it a historical election a handout issued here, today said that the Trust manages and maintains all the Taposthals and temples along with its properties in the UT of J&K.
Polling was conducted by three modes physical, postal and online ballots in a well arranged and secured environment maintaining all the protocols of the COVID-19.
Total 35 contestants were in fray, for the posts of president, general secretary and for the 20 Executive Council Members.
Er. Ravi Dhar has been declared elected for the post of president. Bittoo Ji Raina of Manigam (Kashmir) clinched the post of general secretary.
For 20 Executive Council Members, there were 30 contestants and those were elected included Kuldeep Krishen Dhar, Ashok Dhar, Pushpa Dhar, Rajinder Mohan Tickoo, Sanjay Raina, Anil Dhar, S.K.Khashu, Satish Kumar Langer, Kirti Kapil, B.L.Jalali, K K Dhar, Surinder Dhar, A K Razdhan, B J Raina, Surinder Kachroo, JK Raina (Reshi), Ravi Dhar, B.L.Warikoo, Chanchal Dhar and Rajesh Raina.
A simple but impressive Sanklap taking ceremony was held at in the Mata Shree Roopbhawani Temple Complex at Tirath Nagar, Jammu in presence of Civil Society while maintaining Covid-19 protocols.
Speaking on the occasion, Er Ravi Dhar, president prayed before the Guru Mata for bestowing her boon of healthiness and protection upon all and country from the pandemic. He and his new team elected, pledged and expressed their commitment to come to the expectations of the devotees and the patrons of the Trust.
