JAMMU, June 16: To honour the former MP and Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta, a function was organised by St Paul Church here today.
On the occasion, priest Udhay Singh honoured Mr Gupta and prayed for this good health and prosperity in politics.
They praised for the help given by Gupta for the construction of lanes and drains, for which he also sanctioned Rs 12 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gupta urged upon the ERA and NBCC for releasing the funds immediately.
He also helped the community for getting funds for the construction of grave yard in Ward No 7 and 25.
He also asked the PHE Department to sanction a special connection for supplying pipe lines up to Church St Paul and demanded the forming of a Minority Commission in State.
Gupta assured the Christian community to give full support to solve the problems being faced by the community.
Among other present on the occasion included Nicodemes, Camres David, Rohit George, S M Gill, Feaster Sotra, Kirtan Singh, Deedar Singh, Purshotam Mehra and Sunil Kumar.
