JAMMU, June 16: Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO), in a joint visit to the both the routes of the holy cave, took stock of the arrangements being made before the commencement of Shri Amarnath Yatra, today. The officials who visit included Navin K Choudhary, CEO (SASB) along with Rajan Gupta, general secretary and Vijay Thakur, president of Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO). After the visit, Rajan Gupta suggested the officials of SASB to ensure that Yatri shelters are not misused by the Poneywallas and Shepherds as a temporary stop for them and their animals. He also suggested SASB officials that space behind the camps at Nunwan and Chandanwari should be allotted to the Bhandaras so that they can render their services efficiently. It was also advised to further widen all tracks, repair wooden bridges from Shesh Nag to Panchtarni, fix steel grills/railings on both sides of the path and make separate tracks for the Yatris and poniwallas. They also requested CEO, SASB, to issue subsidized ration to Langar Organisations during the Yatra 2013, as in the past.
