SRINAGAR, June 5: Police in Budgam today said to have seized two vehicles involved in the transportation of illegally mined materials in Wadwan Soibugh Budgam.
A police party from Police Post Soibugh at a checkpoint established at Wadwan Soibugh intercepted 02 tippers loaded with illegally extracted clay.
“When the Police party signalled them to stop, both the drivers left behind their tippers and fled away from the spot. Both the Vehicles bearing registration numbers JK09-8199 & JK04C-0571 have been seized,” police said.
Police said that the search for the absconding drivers is underway and efforts are on to effect their arrest.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 154/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and an investigation has been initiated.
