2 inter-state drug peddlers arrested with ganja

JAMMU, June 5: Bahu Fort Police arrested two inter-state drug peddlers along with 5.5 kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania asked two persons to stop for checking near Baggar Mandi area near Trikuta Nagar. On seeing cops, the persons tried to escape, but they were chased and intercepted.
During checking, police team recovered 5.5 kilograms ganja from the possession of the persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Shiva Srivastava, son of Bajrang Srivastava and Sanjay Chouhan, son of Prem Lal Chouhan, both residents of Chhattisgarh.
A case under FIR Number 210/21 under Sections 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by SI Mohammad Iqbal made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar and SP South Deepak Digra.
