Ayurveda helps in maintaining healthy life: Sukhnandan

JAMMU, June 5: Former Minister and chairman, Panchayati Raj Cell BJP, Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary today asked people to adopt Ayurveda the science of Indian medicine which has been practiced unchanged for thousand years.
Inaugurating a medical camp organised by Directorate of Indian System of Medicines J& K under National Ayush Mission at Panchayat Jaswan, Chadgali and Saharan in Marh constituency he emphasised the role of Ayurveda in daily life of people.
He said that PM Narendra Modi had appealed to all to boost their immunity by following the guidelines laid by Ministry of AYUSH.
These guidelines are based on the Ayurveda and help in maintaining a healthy and happy life, he said, adding that people should maintain social distancing, wear masks and follow the COVID appropriate behaviour, which plays a vital role for defeating COVID-19.
“BJP is doing great service in serving people of the Union Territory during COVID-19 crisis,” he added.
Near about 500 Ayush kits were distributed on the occasion.
Among others who were present on the occasion officials of the Ayush Department, DDC Marh, Balbir Lal, Chairman BDC Marh, Surinder Kumar, Sarpanch Jaswan, Narinder Singh, Sarpanch Souhagani, Daljit Singh, Sarpanch Saharan, Mrs Shama Kumari ,Ex Sarpanch Sham Lal and prominent people of the area.
