3 drug peddlers arrested, 10 gms of heroin seized

KATHUA, June 5: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal- in its action against drug peddlers and its propagators in the district today recovered heroin like contraband along with a cash worth of Rs. 39000 near Logate Morh, Kathua and arrested three drug peddlers.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by Inspector, Vijay Kumar SHO under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Shammi Kumar- during surprise checking in near Logate Morh apprehended three suspicious persons namely Harvinder Singh alias Bittu, son of Jagjit Singh of Ward No. 11 Parliband, Happy Singh son of Bichiter Singh of Ward No. 11 Kathua, Gulzar Singh, son of Dev Raj of Chak Drab Khan Kathua. On physical search approximately 10 grams of Heroin like contraband along with a cash worth of Rs. 39000 were recovered from their possession.
On this a case vide FIR No. 279/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act Stands registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation is under process.
