JKTJAC demands conversion of RReTs to Teachers Grade II/III

UDHAMPUR, June 6: A virtual meeting was organised by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee, District Udhampur unit, under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by executives and zonal presidents of the District.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issues of the teachers which include; inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority benefits, filling up of the posts of CEOs/ZEOs/ Principals/ Headmasters in concerned headless offices/schools, provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as per decisions of High Court, conversion of Regularised ReTs to Teachers Grade II/III as they are without salary for last more than one year, regularisation of leftout ReTs whose files are lying in the Directorate, DPC of Teachers to Masters and conversion of Head Teachers posts under non plan posts of Masters.
He appealed the Director School Education Jammu to release the salaries of un-regularised ReTs and RReTs not converted to teachers Grade II/III due to any reason as same have been released recently by DSEK.
Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking on the occasion, appealed District Development Commissioner Udhampur to prioritise the vaccination of teachers of the District in the age group 18-44 yrs as they are performing various tasks in the community including distribution of MDM rice/books, door to door surveys, engaged at vaccination centres etc so that they don’t become super spreader. He also sought the release of arrears of teachers under SAMAGRA as some ZEOs haven’t released the same despite of funds lying with them for last more than three months.
