COVID Care Workshop concludes

JAMMU, June 6: The NSS unit of Govt College of Education (GCOE) Jammu under the patronage of Cluster University of Jammu in collaboration with “The Art of Living” organized a three day online COVID care programme.
The session was successfully conducted by NSS Programme Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal and NSS volunteers from the college. During the programme, students were briefed about breathing exercises and the importance of Asanas, Meditation and Pranayama.
Dr Kulvinder Kour, Principal GCOE, highlighted the importance of Meditation and Pranayama for attaining peace and calm especially during the current pandemic time.
Shruti Dhiman, member of Art of Living was the resource person for the event. She explained how the effective techniques help in alleviating stress, anxiety and depression and taught basic breathing techniques.
Dr Sandhya Bhardwaj, NSS Coordinator, Cluster University of Jammu and Dr Sushma Bala from Govt College of Education were also present in the event. The session concluded with the thoughtful points of Dr Shubhra Jamwal and Dr Sandhya Bhardwaj. Ajay Kapoor, State Coordinator (Art of Living Bureau of Communications) gave a deep insight into the challenges posed by COVID-19 in the world of education.
Ravinder Kumar, Priya Chivalry Singh, Sourav Sharma, Aakriti Kaur, Diksha, Ambica and Suvidha (NSS volunteers from GCOE) contributed in the successful organization of the event.
