KISHTWAR, June 11: Police rescued abducted minor girl and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a man with Police Station Kishtwar stating that his minor daughter has been kidnapped by a man identified as Ankush alongwith his associate.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 130/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Abid Bukhari was constituted by SSP Kishtwar.
Acting swiftly, the team was able to recover the kidnapped girl within two hours and arrest the accused persons from Shalimar area of District Kishtwar.
The arrested persons were identified as Ankush, son of Antesh Kumar of Narwal District Jammu and Gagandeep Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh of Talab Tillo District Jammu.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
