JAMMU, June 11: Bus Stand Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint regarding theft in three shops at Bus Stand was lodged at Police Station Bus Stand and accordingly a case under FIR Number 37/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC on May 25, 2021 and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bus Stand after hectic efforts identified the thief and arrested him from native district Kulgam.
The arrested person was identified as Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Zuhrama, Tehsil Tregam, District Kupwara. Stolen items were recovered on his disclosure.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Deepankar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City North Mohita Sharma.
