KATHUA, June 12: Kathua police continuing war on drugs putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace and today it recovered heroin like narcotics in the jurisdiction of Hiranagar Police Station and one person was arrested in this connection.
On the overall directions of SSP Kathua, R.C Kotwal – today a team of Police Station (PS), Hiranagar led by Inspector, Anil Kumar SHO laid down a naka at GDC Hiranagar. During naka checking they apprehended one suspect namely Teg Ali, son of Karim Khan of Gurha Beldhara Hiranagar. On Physical search, approximately 5.18 grams of heroin (Chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 81/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Hiranagar and further investigation is under process.
