RAMBAN, June 12: Chanderkote Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 10 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Chanderkote led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AA-0311.
During checking, police team rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Yashir Ali, son of Zahid Khatana, a resident of Dami, Jhajjar Kotli, Tehsil Dansal, District Jammu.
A case under FIR number 69/2021 under Sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
