Srinagar, June 12: Police in Srinagar today said to have arrested eleven gamblers from Hotel Pleasure Khayam and seized stake money of 62,320 from the gamblers.
A police spokesperson said that while acting on specific information regarding gambling activity, a police party from Police Station Khanyar raided Hotel Pleasure Khayam and arrested eleven gamblers.
“Officers have seized stake money of 62,320/- and playing cards from the gamblers. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 41/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Khanyar and investigation has been initiated.
