UDHAMPUR, June 12: Udhampur Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler near the Church area and recovered 58 grams of cannabis from his possession.
The accused, identified as Karnail Singh, son of Gian Chand of Chirdi, Chenani, was apprehended by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur, Inspector Chaman Gorkha, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs, during patrolling near Church. During search, 58 grams of cannabis like substance was recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR number 198/2021, under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
