JAMMU, June 18: To garner support for their demand of regularization, protesting Class IV employees of Jammu University today called on Member of Parliament Choudhary Lal Singh and sought his cooperation for the cause.
A deputation of Non-Gazetted Employees Union apprised the MP of their demand and the ongoing strike, which entered into 40th day today.
The MP assured to take up the regularization issue with concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, on 7th day of the ongoing chain hunger strike by the class-IV employees, Ranbir Raina, Mukesh Bhat, Deepak, Victor Sadhotra and Saraj Khan began their fast replacing the previous batch.
