Vijaypur police arrests 4 thieves, recovers stolen items

SAMBA, June 13 : District Police Samba has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station Vijaypur with the recovery of stolen items and arrest of  three thieves and a scrap shop owner.
Police said on June, 2 a written complaint was lodged at PS Vijaypur by Abhimanyu Singh Jamwal of Sainik Colony, Jammu stating therein that during the intervening night of June 1 and 2 some unknown thieves have stolen the brass pipes valuing Rs 2.5 – 3.0 lacs approximately from his under construction Hotel site near 17 Miles, Vijaypur.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR No. 85/2021 U/S 457/380/411 IPC was registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started to work out the theft case.
During the course of investigation, the police team of PS Vijaypur had rounded up several suspects and finally succeeded in arresting three thieves involved in theft case.
The accused persons were identified as Sunil Kumar son of Hari Kumar of Moradabad U.P, Rakesh Sharma, son of Dev Raj Sharma of Ladden Power House Udhampur,   Mohammad Maqbool son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Bagh-e-Bahu. All at present residing at Shiv Nagar, Vijaypur and have confessed their involvement in execution of the theft of Brass pipes weighing about 50kg.
On the disclosure of arrested thieves during sustained interrogation, the stolen item was recovered from the Scrap Shop at  Kartholi, Sarore, Bari Brahmana, owned by one Chander Parkash son of Ghoree of Dharampur Palupur, (U.P) who was also arrested in the instant case.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
