Hunger strike for restoration of statehood started

JAMMU, June 14: President Mission Statehood J&K and Jammu West Assembly Movement, Sunil Dimple today started hunger strike along with their activists for restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir and complete ban on liquor in the city of Temple, here today.
Talking to media persons, Sunil Dimple said that the Govt is playing with sentiments of the people of Jammu Kashmir by not restoring statehood status to the J&K. “However, he welcomed the statement of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in which he said that there is ‘no further bifurcation of JK UT and no separate statehood to Jammu.’
He strongly opposed the abrogation of Article 370 by the Union Government, resulting of which, the youth of the Jammu and Kashmir have been facing unemployment since the Article 370 as well as special status have been abrogated. Dimple also urged the Prime Minister to return our Salal and Uri Power Projects from the NHPC and scrap ‘Indus Water Treaty’ with Pakistan.
