REASI, June 15: Police arrested an absconding notorious thief, who was evading his arrest since long, police official said.
The arrested person was identified as Parvaiz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Malipeeth District Kishtwar. He was absconding in six cases registered against him at Police Stations Reasi, Nagrota and Ramban.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused was a notorious thief and 21 FIRs also stands registered against him at different Police Stations in various districts of Jammu Province. Arrest warrants under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him.
Further investigation into the cases registered against the arrested absconder is going on.
He is the 17th absconder arrested by Reasi Police in the past two months.
