JAMMU, June 15: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina its president along with other members including Ravinder Bakshi, M K Raina , Roshan Lal Koul, C L Zuthsi, Badri Nath, Bansi Lal, Ashok Ji, Nana Ji Bhan called on Chief Engineer, SE and Executive Engineer PDD and apprised them of the problems being faced by them due to power crisis for last five days.
The delegation demanded that Roop Nagar Grid Station needs augmentation due to increase in population and load. It also demanded that R2 Feeder is overloaded and needs immediate bifurcation. The officers assured the delegation that R2 Feeder will be bifurcated soon.
The Committee however decided to meet the Advisor concerned for the augmentation of Grid Station Roop Nagar. The delegation demanded that the concerned Company be directed to install cable in Durga Nagar Sector III and transformer 400 kv at the station already framed.
The delegation also met Chief Engineer R&B and urged him that the premixing of roads be started in all sectors of Durga Nagar immediately and drain work be also started in the area. He assured the delegation that all works will be taken up in hand in a short period.
The Committee urged the JMC authorities to executive the works in the area which have been approved three months back. The delegation also met Chief Engineer, PHE and urged him to sanction Rs 50 lakh for double motor system to be installed at Muthi Goan.
