Cong activists reaching out to people: Mishra

JAMMU, June 16: Senior Congress leader from Samba Vinod Mishra today said that party leaders are reaching out to the needy people and providing every possible help on the directions of the top party leadership.
Addressing press conference here today, Mishra who was flanked by other senior party leaders-Ashwani Khajuria, Jai Singh and Gourav Chopra pointed out that on the direction of former J&K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who is chairman of the Cong Covid Task Force, they have launched vigorous campaign to reach out to the needy people.
Mishra said besides distributing free ration and other items among the poor and needy, they were also creating awareness among the people against the Covid. He said people have been appealed to follow Covid SOPs by wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing, as issued by the J&K UT Administration.
Ashwani Khajuria said that every body should be vaccinated for ensuring safety of each and every citizen. He also stressed for expediting the vaccination activity in towns and villages and cover people of all age category.
Thakur Jai Singh and Gaurav Chopra (Corporator) said under the guidance of Azad they were providing medical kits to the people in various blocks, towns and districts.
These Congress leaders appealed to the LG Administration to make preperations for any uncertainty in future, regarding arrangement of oxygen, Covid medicines, ventilators and other related equipment.
