KATHUA, June 18: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today said that the district administration has roped in PRI’s besides involving staff of Youth Sports and Services, School Education, NYK etc to intensify the vaccination drive in low Vaccinated areas of the district.
Briefing the media persons, he informed that the vaccination drive for the 18–44 year age bracket has been kick started across the district, while 78% people of 45+ age group have been inoculated and efforts are being made by Door to Door campaign to achieve 100% inoculation targets before June 30.
He said admission of new Covid patients in hospitals and CHCs is on decline and there are only 104 positive patients all with mild to moderate symptoms.
The DC informed that under the SAKSHAM scheme aimed at to support the wards and families of Covid victims, 35 cases have been recommended for the release of financial assistance in the shape of pension and scholarship for the family members who lost their bread earners.
The DC urged the people to maintain Covid Appropriate Behaviours by wearing face masks and maintaining physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Vaccination centre.
