JAMMU, June 18: A Health Department employee was killed in collision between motorcycle and mini tipper near Muthi Maira area in Jourian, here today.
The deceased was identified as Manga Ram (45), son of Kaku Ram, a resident of Devipur. He was posted in a hospital in Khour.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
However, acting swiftly, police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar and assisted by Incharge Police Post Jourian Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal arrested the driver of the mini-tipper, who has been identified as Madan Lal, son of Deewan Singh of Asri Chak, Gajansoo, District Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
