RAMBAN, June 19: Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and District president Sajjad Shaheen expressed his concern over the unavailability of Kerosene oil across Ramban district especially in Banihal Constituency.
He alleged that the J&K Govt especially Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affair Department (FCS&CA) in its order allocated Kerosene oil quota to various district of the J&K but unfortunately not a litre of Kerosene oil has been allocated to the said district for the month of May and June so far, resulting the unprivileged section of the said district is suffering more.
Shaheen further said that the Kerosene oil is instrumental in ameliorating the lot of rural people especially women folk who are still dependent upon wood for cooking. “The Administration needs to shun their lackadaisical attitude in this regards and allocate adequate Kerosene oil quota for Ramban district as soon as possible,” he urged.
