JAMMU, June 19: Manjit Singh, provincial president, Apni Party Jammu province and former Minister today urged Government to regularize land in favour of Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe community living in a miserable condition in an under-developed area called Kore-Jagir in Nagrota Assembly constituency in Jammu district.
In a statement to the press, a public meeting was organised by senior Apni Party leader Rupali Rani at Kore-Jagir Panchayat in which people highlighted their issues concerning development.
Rupali Rani, Apni Party’s senior leader informed about issues like road connectivity, drinking water and negligence of the area which falls in Jammu district.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh said that it was unfortunate to know that a Panchayat close to Jammu city is still under developed and lacks basic amenities.
“The poor and landless people belonging to the SC and ST community settled in the Kore-Jagir Panchayat for decades. The poor stricken people need Government’s urgent attention towards their developmental issues,” said Manjit Singh.
